Quick Menubar Note Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026
newmean.ai ("we") does not collect personal information from people who use the macOS app Quick Menubar Note ("the app"). This policy explains what the app handles on your Mac and how.
1. Information the app handles
Your note
What you write in the note is saved as a file (note.txt) in the app's own folder on your Mac. Where you made text bold or changed its size is saved separately in the same folder. Your note never leaves your Mac.
Clipboard
The app puts text on the clipboard only when you copy or cut, and reads the clipboard only when you paste. What it reads is used only to insert it into your note; it is not stored separately or sent anywhere.
App settings
Settings such as the note color, text size, window position and size, and Keep on Top are stored only on your Mac.
2. What we don't collect or share
The app does not connect to our servers or any other online service. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, and shares no information with us or any third party.
3. Deleting your note
When you delete text in the note, it is removed from the saved file right away. To see or delete the file itself, right-click the menu bar icon and choose Show Note File in Finder.
4. Contact
For privacy questions, email contact@newmean.ai.
5. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page and revise the effective date.
